Q. What is Semi Permanent Make-up?
A. Semi Permanent Make-up is a non-surgical procedure used to implant coloured pigments into the skin to create or enhance a cosmetic appearance.

Q. Who can benefit from Semi Permanent Make-up?
A. Everyone and anyone who wants to look their best 24 hours a day. Semi Permanent Make-up can make you look younger, fresher and healthier. See our "
Suitable for..." page for more details

Q. How will I know what it will look like?
A. Before any Semi Permanent Make-up is applied I will go through a detailed consultation with you. This will include assessing the shape and colours you require which will be 'drawn' on and used as a 'stencil' so that you have a good idea of what the final result will be based on.

Q. How long will the treatment take?
A. Your initial consultation will take approximately 1 hour. On the day of the treatment we would typically spend about an hour agreeing on shape and colour which will ensure you the final results are to your satisfaction. The treatment will take around 90 minutes to complete depending on the area involved and the work required (including the time needed for the soothing balm)

Q. Will it hurt?
A. Before the treatment starts, I apply very effective topical anaesthetic creams to the areas required and if you were to feel any minor discomfort throughout then I can apply a further soothing balm. Some clients have even fallen asleep during the treatment!

Q. What will I look like after the treatment?
A. Immediately after the treatment there may be a little swelling or redness but I will give you a pre-procedure advice sheet to help minimise the swelling. This will usually last no more than 24 hours. The colour may look slightly darker for a few days but will lighten to your desired shade.

Q. How long will the make-up last?
A. Semi Permanent Make-up will last on average for 3 to 5 years. Due to different skin types, ages and other external factors, the pigment will break down and fade over time. It is recommended that you have a "colour refresh" treatment every 18 months to keep the make-up looking fresh.

Q. Is the treatment safe?
A. The equipment used complies with all relevant health and safety requirements. The pigments used meet strict European medical standards. All needles are disposable, sterile and of the highest quality. Steralisation and hygiene is of the utmost importance before, during and after the treatment.  Reactions to semi permanent cosmetics are very rare.

Q. What about after care?
A. Written after care instructions and product will be given as well as verbal instructions. If you have any concerns, do not hesitate to contact me.
